The Proposal: One month later…

One month ago my beloved Karl proposed me. When we met in August 2007 it was love at first sight, so I accepted and gave him a capital YES!

But it seemed I left a broken heart…

Yara, one of the three human beans here at home thought, and was telling everybean, every friend of her, I was her fiance. Only she forgot telling me, and my feelings, and my thought about it. But let me tell you the truth and make this clear forever: Yara is sweet and pretty and my greatest human friend, but she is human. I love to cuddle and purr on her lap, and give her nosekisses and headbutts, but… I prefer a mancat as a partner and soulmate, and with Karl I found the sweetest one in the universe.

I gently explained Yara:

Yara and Ruis

Yara and Ruis

Yara and Ruis

Yara and Ruis

Pfffff, she understands it and we will stay friends!!:)

aCATemy Award from SkeezixThank you, Skeezix! You are an amazing guy and now I know why Daisy said “Yes!” ;-)

This is an unbelievable honor and a complete surprise. So many cats and dogs have a part of this. And yes, they got this award too!!

Karl, Opus and Roscoe who wrote the two wonderful scripts. All the animals at the design department, and of course the numerous actors and actresses who worked at both shows. They were all really fabulous!

I want to thank my fiance Karl. Without your never ending support, sweetheart, this would have been impossible. That we could work on this together made it a dream come true. Thank you so much!!

I also want to thank Sassy, executive producer of Little Productions and personal friend. It is always a pleasure to work with her.

Members of the Cat Blogosphere and all other blogging cats, dogs, bunnies and other species, THANK YOU. Without you as an audience, without your appreciation and without YOU coming to the shows, not one of us would be standing here! Thank You!

For ALL the photos taken at the aCATemy Awards visit Sassy’s post about the event!!

If you haven’t voted for your favorites at the Red Carpet Buzz, hurry up and vote! Voting will be open until Thursday, February 28, 9 pm Mountain Standard Time.

My NOMSS Friends

I accepted the challenge, it is never too late to make friends! I have many friends in the cat blogosphere, and because I am a dog friendly cat, I also have doggy friends. But being engaged with Karl, and not having a NOMSS friend, that was ‘not done’! Until now…

Maya (dark brindle color) and Kena (wheaten, red or maybe blond ;) are my Not-Of-My-Species-Special-friends (NOMSS friends). They are two young Cairn Terrier girls and live in California. Maya is almost one-and-a-half years old and Kena’s first birthday is April 29th. One of the doggies I live with is a half terrier, so I know their character and temperament — and Maya and Kena are just as sweet, funny, playful, caring and naughty — I love that these doggy girls want to be my Special Friends!!

Catch-up post: The Awards

Do you remember the day I became official reporter of this blog? It was October 15, 2007, and with a wonderful contract I started my job. There came busy times and in December my carrier went to a higher level when I became Director of CCSI. Also I found the love of my life, Karl.

I thought 2008 would be the happiest year in my life… In my love life I am, with my fiance. But my reporting job is not going so well. I have re-read my contract and there’s not ONE word about surgeries, not one word about how I have to do my job when my typist gets sick or is unable to do her job. NOTHING!

And now I feel bad and proud and bad and honered with a handful of awards, some of them I already got in January… How do I present them without others thinking that I am a bad reporter?? I really have no idea…

At January 11, Sassy gave all who participated in the Sassy & Momo Mystery Adventure, with comments, encouraging and support, the Participation Award.
~~~
The next award I got from my handsome and beloved fiance Karl.
There are rules attached to this award:
1. You must write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think (no fish or bird blogs, they’ll just make you hungry)
2. Acknowledge this post
3. Optional Proudly display the Thinking Blogger Award with a link to the post that you wrote
4. Go tell your humans to fork over the treats!
There are many blogs that make me think. But on my way to choose blogging cats and dogs for this award, I found no one who not already got this award. If I am wrong, please let me know…
~~~

And my sweetheart at The Cat Realm gave me another award… “This Blog is Rated E for Excellence” award.
Again I had trouble to find bloggers who didn’t already got this award, so hereby I give it everybody!
Thank you very much Karl for honoring me with these awards!!

~~~
At Januari 31, our beautiful, sweet Ariel gave Karl and I the” Caring Cat Award”. We are very much touched by receiving this award and will proudly show it on our respective blogs, as well as on our joint blog! Thank you, Ariel!!
At our joint blog we gave the award to our special caring friend Caesar!
~~~

7 February I got the “Friend of a Woofie” award from my fiance Karl. He gave me this award because I share my home with two dogs: Taylor and Buzzer. Taylor I know my whole life, she is almost 13 years old and a sweet friend of me. Buzzer was abandoned by his first humans when he was 8 years old, when he came to us, two years ago, he was not used to cats, but I taught him. Very well, and we all love him!!

We pass this award on to Chase, she lives together with her two doggy sisters Parker and Spider.
~~~
And yesterday Karl and I received another award, a Funky one!
At our joint blog we gave this award to two other funky cats — Skeezix and Adan!!
In my new blog template, which will coming soon (I hope…), we have made plenty of room for our special friends, and I will proudly display the awards you have given me. Thank you!!
