Is our fur coat warm enough?

Friday, January 16, 2009

The last ten+ days the South East of the Netherlands was covered with snow. It all fell in the night of January 5th to 6th. And with temperatures at night below -20°C (-4°F) and -10°C (14°F) during the day the snow stayed until 2 days ago.

You all know that I’m not afraid for a little cold since my husband and I went on the Antarctica Cruise one year ago. And it was even colder there than here!

But I do not understand how cats and dogs, and even bunnies can walk naked in that cold!!

With nothing but a little fur… Brrrrrr

And what can be funny about sniffing COLD snow…

… or sticking your nose into it?

Also Freddie, the little bunny of a friend of the staff, went outside.
His ears dropped down instantly, hahahaha.

Ruis dressed for the cold

But I was not even going to TRY if furs only were enough…
Prevent a COLD by dressing WARM!! 🙂

Talking about warm…
At the blogs of our friends Asta and Jan’s Funny Farm we read about 13 doggies who are in desperate need of a warm and loving forever home!

They only have 14 days to find one before… so Please, let us try to help these wonderful dogs with a very warm place!!
