Miral update…
Tuesday, April 8, 2008Today the staff went with Miral to the VET clinic for a echocardiograph and she is diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
Miral now gets another medicines added to the one she already had.
Like yesterday, this is a short post. But although I am glad to know what causes Miral’s illness, the long term prognosis for DCM is poor. For me, the other cats and dogs, and of course the staff, a fear came true, and it is difficult to process because now almost all our hope is gone.

Sunday, April 6, 2008Dear friends — There was no update because Miral is not doing too well. Tomorrow she’s going to the clinic for a heart echo/ultrasound. I am sorry there is no better news and I had to stop visiting all of you to thank you for your support.
I think of you and I promiss to come back, but for now I stay with my sister…

Saturday, March 29, 2008Miral is doing great!! Last night she again went upstairs to the cat room, where I followed her. There she went to the litterbox and after that she stretched and scratched at the scratching tower and climbed to the top. Half an hour later she came back downstairs in the living room and did a little nap on Henny’s lap.
This morning Miral came to kitchen to ASK for her food, of course served on her chair.
