Saturday, March 22, 2008Wednesday, like everyday, Miral jumped on the countertop at least five times, trying to steal something of the special food the staff was making for Maxime. Yesterday she did not jump, she did not eat at all! Late in the afternoon the staff went with her to the VET, her kidneys were failing for unknown reasons… The VET gave her fluids and the staff 3 flavors of special stinky goodness for her, and if she not started to eat within 24 hours he wanted to see her back on his free Saturday morning. The VET phoned the staff today and they made an appointment for tomorrow, he then will test her blood again.
Forcing Miral to eat doesn’t work — it’s a FIGHT and when it is in she vomits, and it’s out. I am extremely worried, she feels so sick.

We Want Spring!
Saturday, February 16, 2008Here in the Netherlands we are having our second “weird” winter. The snow we have seen was gone in a blink of an eye. And then there was rain, lots of rain. Another few days the sun was shining and it was 15 C, followed by grey cold weather and nights below 0 C…
We want SPRING!!

This week I want to tell and show you what I love to do the most. Washing other kitties! 
As most of you know we live with 10 cats and 2 doggies together. The staff is really busy with us — cleaning our and their litterboxes – washing our catbeds, the ones from the doggies and their own – cleaning the whole house, except for the Rex kitties we shed lots of hair – walking with the doggies (they don’t use litterboxes) – and of course lots of cuddling and petting with all of us.
To help them a little I make sure every cat in the house is clean. I know that we cats can wash ourselves very good, but some places are difficult, so I help them with that! Gucci is the only one who doesn’t allow me to help him (yet), but the others appreciate and enjoy it. And it’s really no trouble at all for me, because I like all other kitties and washing them is something I love to do.
